In conjunction with the Cochin Kickstarter we have also been quietly working on something pretty exciting. From early on our printed terrain customers have asked for a way to build their own bundle.
Well that time has finally arrived. We’ve launched the Bundle Builder on our new and improved website!

–C-3PO, Star Wars: A New Hope
Sometimes, an escape pod crash-landing on a desolate desert planet is all it takes to alter the fate of the galaxy. R2-D2 and C-3PO set the classic Star Wars trilogy in motion when they launched themselves from the Tantive IV to the scorching hot surface of Tatooine, and soon, you can play out the early stages of their desperate mission to restore hope to the galaxy. Fantasy Flight Games is happy to announce the Crashed Escape Pod Battlefield Expansion for Star Wars™: Legion!
More than just a terrain piece or objectives, the unpainted, hard plastic crashed escape pod miniature and hard plastic R2-D2 and C-3PO miniatures you’ll find in this expansion are an invitation to join two of the Star Wars saga’s most iconic droids on their adventures across the galaxy. These miniatures can play a central role in two distinct scenarios outlined by six new battle cards. Alternatively, four unit cards give you the chance to add both R2-D2 and C-3PO to your Rebel or Republic armies.
Read on for more information on the Crashed Escape Pod Battlefield Expansion!
Escape pods are a standard feature on warships across the galaxy and when opposing troops abandon ship, it’s not uncommon for a battle to spill over to a planet’s surface. Whether your troops are investigating the wreckage or using it for cover, the escape pod miniature is this expansion is sure to enhance any battlefield, adding even more thematic flair to your Star Wars: Legion battles.
But escape pods can carry more than just ground troops. They’re also a good way to get sensitive information off a ship before it falls into the wrong hands. During these occasions, both sides are likely to do whatever they can to recover this data, including deploying troops to the crash site. As a result, the Crashed Escape Pod Battlefield Expansion also contains six battle cards that make the escape pod the focal point of two different scenarios.
In the first scenario, the escape pod makes a crash-landing on a planet’s surface at the end of Round 1, and the droids it carries become the prime objective of both armies. In the second, two droids carrying vital intel find themselves hopelessly lost in the unforgiving wilderness and both sides start a desperate search. Whoever finds and extracts the droids could well turn the tide of the war.
No matter which scenario you choose to play, the C-3PO and R2-D2 miniatures included in this Battlefield Expansion make a perfect alternative to the objective tokens found in both the Star Wars: Legion Core Set and the Clone Wars Core Set. This may help bring these iconic droids to life as objectives on your battlefields, but it is far from their only use.
C-3PO and R2-D2 formed an unbreakable bond that carried them through the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil War, and this Battlefield Expansion allows you to help them carry out their secret missions as part of the Galactic Republic or the Rebel Alliance. In addition to four unit cards that invite you to add these iconic droids to your armies, three Operative command cards help R2-D2 unlock a wide variety of devices hidden within his casing.
We’ll take a closer look at everything included in the Crashed Escape Pod Battlefield Expansion—including R2-D2, C-3PO, and both scenarios—in a future preview!
A single escape pod crashing to the surface of Tatooine set off a chain of events that changed the Star Wars galaxy forever. When the Crashed Escape Pod Battlefield Expansion is released in the first quarter of 2020, it can be the springboard for your own Star Wars: Legion stories!

As outposts and data centers, Imperial bunkers play a pivotal role in securing the Empire’s reign over the galaxy. Found on Imperial-controlled planets such as Scarif and the forest moon of Endor, these bunkers keep some of the Empire’s most vital military secrets and command centers safe. Soon, one of these bunkers can be a flashpoint in your own battles across the Star Wars galaxy. Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce the Imperial Bunker Battlefield Expansion for Star Wars™: Legion!
Whether protecting what lies within, or fighting to extract vital information, any battle fought over a bunker could stand as a turning point in the war and the Imperial bunker miniature and six modular computer terminal miniatures you find in this expansion are sure to become a focal point of your battles. Not only does this unpainted, finely detailed miniature enhance any battlefield with a piece of thematic Star Wars terrain, six new battle cards can make it the centerpiece of an epic, two-act scenario that sees one side desperately attempting to disable the bunker while the other mounts a valiant defense.
Read on for more information on the Imperial Bunker Battlefield Expansion!
The Empire has many secrets to protect and—no matter where in the galaxy they are kept—they are usually found sealed behind the doors of a fortified Imperial bunker. This makes these bunkers ripe targets for Rebel raids and the Imperial bunker in this Battlefield Expansion is sure to play a large role in any battle that takes place in the area surrounding it.
Whatever your objective, the bunker is more than just another piece of terrain. Not only can the its door be turned around to display an alternate design, it can be removed altogether, allowing your battles to spill into the interior. Once there, your troops can fight amongst six modular computer terminals that can be arranged however you see fit. Alternatively, these terminals can be placed in the bunker or anywhere on the battlefield to bring your objectives to life.
While the Imperial bunker can be easily incorporated into the fabric of any Star Wars: Legion battle, the secrets it contains are likely to be of value to both sides and the Imperial Bunker Battlefield Expansion gives you the power to make it the central focus of a new, two part battle. Six battle cards put the bunker at the very center of the battlefield, setting the stage with unique deployments, objectives, and conditions that give both sides different objectives to complete.
This scenario begins with the red player embarking on a valiant Rescue Mission to free some of their captured comrades-in-arms held inside the bunker. The Prisoners are well defended behind the bunker’s heavy blast door and the barricades that guard its entrance, but the red player does have an advantage: The total points of their army can equal up to 900 points. What’s more, they have the element of surprise and can quickly move towards the bunker.
This advantage quickly dissipates as the second act opens, however. Alterted to the enemy presence, the blue player has the bunker Surrounded and secured. With their prisoners recovered, it is now up to the red player to find a way to somehow Disable the Bunkerby planting and detonating objective tokens inside it. But this will be no easy task. The bunker is a heavily Defended Fortification and the red player no longer has the element of surprise. As a result, trooper units the blue player has inside the bunker can spend their activation broadcasting tactical information to friendly units.
With a beautiful new miniature to add to your battlefields and a unique new scenario, the Imperial Bunker Battlefield Expansion adds even more variety to your games of Star Wars: Legion!
There’s no telling what secrets could be hidden away in an Imperial bunker. You can battle for control of these secrets when the Imperial Bunker Battlefield Expansion is released in the fourth quarter of 2019!
Enhance your battlefield with your own Imperial Bunker, available now for pre-order from your local retailer or online through our website with free shipping in the continental United States here!
