Announcing a Limited Edition Darth Vader Commander Expansion for Star Wars Celebration

Wherever Darth Vader goes, fear is sure to follow. His foes scatter at the first sound of his mechanical breathing and even his own troops fear the consequences should they fail him. Wielding his lightsaber with deadly efficiency and unleashing the power of the dark side of the Force on those that stand in his way, few can match him combat. There is only one Darth Vader, and those who attend Star Wars Celebration in Chicago from April 11 – 15 will have the chance to add a one-of-a-kind version of the Dark Lord of the Sith to their Star Wars™: Legion armies.

Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce the Limited Edition Darth Vader Commander Expansion for Star Wars: Legion, available exclusively at Star Wars Celebration 2019!

AdeptiCon Info Update

LJ Peña, who is helping organize the Legion tournament at AdeptiCon this year, posted the following on Facebook:

“Players!

Quick update – if you had previous earned a Maximum Firepower Qualifier spot, an email should have been sent this afternoon with details to confirm your attendance at the 2019 High Command Invitational at AdeptiCon. Please ensure you respond to this email in a timely manner so we can ensure your spot is set.

If you did not receive an email, please message the AdeptiCon Legion page so we can go about getting you the information you need.

See everyone soon!”

The Fifth Trooper Network To Stream AdeptiCon

LJ Peña, who is helping to organize the Legion Tournament at AdeptiCon 2019, posted this exciting announcement on Facebook today:

“You asked, they delivered. We will have streaming at AdeptiCon!

Players!

We are beyond excited to share a recent development with everyone – we will have streamed games at BOTH the Last Chance Qualifier and High Command Qualifier!

The Fifth Trooper Network is hosting two streaming tables at the event, and will be covering them “ESPN” style during each tournament. This means that you can enjoy multiple games in progress covered with live commentary with hosts from The Fifth Trooper Podcast, Notorious Scoundrels, special guests, and AdeptiCon Legion players throughout the day. The stream will be hosted on their YouTube channel, which can be found here:

We thank The Fifth Trooper Network for their commitment to bringing you live games from the convention floor, and we look forward to seeing everyone in March!”

Pathfinders Expansion Who’s Who

So you just picked up your Pathfinders expansion, and you’re excited to get Bistan and Pao painted as well as the rest of the Pathfinders. But who are the rest of the Pathfinders?

Believe it or not, FFG did model the other Pathfinders minis after named characters from the Star Wars universe.

The fourth guy, I’m calling Beardy for now, seems to be an amalgamation of several Pathfinders from Rogue One. I need to do some more research before I can know for sure.

Stay tuned. I’m going to be doing the Rebel Trooper Who’s Who next.

The Legion Outriders Podcast: 50 – Jyn and the Pathfinders

Everyone’s favorite doomed indie-rock band is now on the shelves, so the guys chat about how to use them (and why John only listens to their earlier stuff.) We also break down the new rules changes and celebrate our 1 year/ 50 episode anniversary!

Official Rules Update

Question: When issuing orders with the command card An Entire Legion, if Battle Meditation is used to issue an order to a unit that otherwise wouldn’t receive one, is one fewer order issued to an eligible unit? Also, if the command card Sabotaged Communications is also played, is one fewer order issued to an eligible unit?

Answer: Yes, in both cases. Because the errata’d Battle Meditation explicitly says “instead,” to issue an order to a unit that would otherwise not receive an order, a different unit that is eligible cannot receive an order. Similarly, Sabotaged Communications will cause one eligible unit to not receive an order.
