Maximum Annihilation: Krennic vs Veers

Krennic_vs_Veers_tkdjiq.png

It’s Thursday night Legion night at my FLGS Games Cube. Fresh from lots of spacemen pew pew at ANZAC Cup, I lined up another game with my mate Damo.

I’ve just finished painting my Imperial Royal Guard, and was pretty keen to give them a spin. I dropped a few things (Snowtroopers, Comms Tech) from my ANZAC Cup list in order to fit the IRG in. Damo took a Krennic, Deathtrooper and AT-ST list which is quite different to anything I’ve faced so far. This should be fun!

Bothan Report: Creating Scarif Bases for your Legion Units

One of the most exciting parts of painting miniatures for me is creating a compelling base for the miniatures that really puts the icing on the proverbial cake when it comes to presentation.

Since my Warhammer days I have always been fascinated by some of the creativity I saw with bases and while the default base back in the early 90’s was simply static grass or green flock I always thought there was more you could do. Game Workshop was always my guiding inspiration when it came to this aspect of the hobby and still is to this day.

Star Wars Legion has given my creative mind a big jolt mainly because the worlds and planets featured in the movies are just begging to be integrated into the modeling aspect of the hobby.

I have mainly been focusing on creating game boards to fight our battles over ( so far I have a desert, forest and Kessel board made) and to accompany them I have been basing my models accordingly.

Bothan Report: Director Orson Krennic Commander Expansion

One of the most exciting aspects of Rogue One was the introduction of a new villain to grace the screen alongside established characters like Darth Vader and Grand Moff Tarkin. While not a major influence in the overall Galactic Civil war he nonetheless gave us a memorable amount of screen time thanks to the brilliant acting of Ben Mendelsohn. As far as Star Wars Legion goes I am doubly excited to get a commander on my table that isn’t names , Darth Vader, Palpatine or Veers.

Krennic just looks bad ass and his white cloak and uniform is very striking for an Imperial Commander. Throw in some Death Troopers alongside him and you have a very intimidating new addition to your Imperial Army in Star Wars Legion.

Gamer’s Web Direct And To The Point

A short while ago, Fantasy Flight Games announced the Director Orson Krennic expainson for Star Wars Legion, the main bad guy from Rogue One.

Now we have just been given a better look at the character made famous by Ben Mendelssohn in the movie, and hes a pretty nasty piece of work too!

Krennic in Rogue One comes across as a very slimy character who has worked his way up through the ranks of the Empire and thinks that he is above everything and everyone, that is until he tries to take on Darth Vader and gets taken down a huge amount.

Krennic is on the verge of greatness, he is this close! Unappreciated genius and cunning tactician – In Star Wars: Legion Krennic is the fourth Imperial commander and first commander not from the original trilogy and he brings a whole new set of tricks to the way the Empire plays.
