Fourth Season of the Invader League Announced

LJ Peña posted online today:

Hello There!

The Legion Discord is proud to present the fourth season of the Invader League!

The Invader League is a free Star Wars: Legion Tournament, played through the Star Wars Legion Tabletop Simulator Mod. Participants play a series of 5 Round Robin games, followed by a Single Elimination bracket for the top two players from each group. The games are on pre-determined maps, with Battle Cards chosen by the players before each match. All games are at the 800 point value, and armies features current content, as well as unreleased units. Each Invader League season takes about two months to complete. Prizes are given to the top players, which are generously donated by Legion Community Members.

Details are just about locked in place as we approach registration. Please watch the Invader League website and Legion Discord for further updates. We look forward to an exciting season!

(Note: You must be a member of the discord to participate – you can find the link to it here!

Impact X Blog: AdeptiCon 2019 Reflection (LJ Pena)

Adepticon 2019 was the first High Command Invitational, which was the only way to get invited to the first Star Wars: Legion World Championship. Worlds will be held in June, and myself and Nick Freeman will both be in attendance. 3 Imperial players and 5 Rebels players moved on to Worlds, so we’ll see if they all play the same factions in Minnesota!

AdeptiCon was a huge success, and an enjoyable follow-up to the Last Vegas Open. This was the first major this year I have been able to play in, so I knew I had to make every die roll count. My goal for the weekend was to make it into High Command, and I barely did, taking the last spot based on Strength of Schedule. My only LCQ loss was to Chris Cook, and because he went 4-0 I was able to overcome the other 3-1’s and sneak into High Command. To just barely squeak into High Command didn’t really make me confident going into the second day of play, but my overall results proved that did not really matter!

Before I start talking about how things went, big thanks to Brendon Franz for running the event, and Hank Edley for letting us run the show!

The guys sit down (in person!) with L.J. Pena and Nick Freeman to discuss the biggest event in Legion’s short history, the Las Vegas Open! We recap what lists won, why this event was so successful, and which Outrider managed to lose to a T-47.

Las Vegas Open!

I had the absolute pleasure of participating in the Star Wars Legion Tournament today.

Thank you to LJ and everyone who poured their blood, sweat and tears into making LVO the Legion event of the year and hopefully the inspiration to all future tournaments.

Congrats to those who won an invite to High Command.

Congrats to John Griffin who came in first.

And congrats to David LeBlanc (who plays at my local store) who went into the final round and took eleventh.

Here’s some photos from of the gorgeous tables: Continue reading →

LVO: Gorgeous Custom Vader Mini Up For Grabs At Los Vegas Open

Lj Peña posted the following on the SoCal Legion Facebook page:

He writes: “Players!

Thanks to a gracious donation by Never Tell Me the Odds, we have added another custom figure to the prize pool. NTMTO has donated a painted Darth Vader to add to your collection. This Vader is a custom model unlike the regular one, and has been wonderfully painted by Dark Bunny creative. All you have to do is complete (not win) all four games at LVO to have a chance at winning this model. Thanks again!
